Relief Activities

Food and non-food items are still a big challenge in most of areas within Southern Sudan. AAA, in collaboration with the organisation Sign of Hope, has shipped in more than 140 MT of basic items for TB and Leprosy disabled people, vulnerable groups such as children under 5, pregnant and lactating mothers, returnees and IDPs, together with other poor people in the community.

Achievements in 2009

• 63,004 tones (mt) from SOH
• 357,042 tones (mt) from WFP
  4,375 mt of cargo by chartered plane
• 38,532 mt of cargo by lorry
• Warrap State MOH donated medicines and medical equipment to Saint Francesco D’Assisi Marial-Lou Hospital
• LaGoccia donated one full container of medical equipment to AAA hospitals
• 7 caravan planes were hired to carry delicate medicines, equipment and staff
